User-Contributed Transcription we did think of you, my Dear Daughter, not a little last Friday the weather was so rough and rainy and that carraige so small I thought you could not lay down I fear'd you'd hardly live to get there - But James has just brought in your letter which much rejoiced us all -one from Antoinette too Do be careful of yourself, so much company and excitement will leave you thro' almost any thing but remember the reaction just so far as you get above par, you will have to go below - keep yourself still & quiet if you want to get well. You didn't write a word about your cough. I took down my curtains to wash - and - out dropt Isaac's letter from Antoinette isn't it queer enough have you recei'd Mrs. Thaxter's letters yet. Charles went to day to carry Mr. Partridge & wife home, & after apple trees was gone till most night. I have been writing a letter to send to Ann - hope you will do the same before long. I am very glad you like your house and situation - if you could only be well how comfortable and happy - you would be. I hope you'll set about it and get well fast now. Do you want we should dig some roots and make you a Syrup when they get up so that they can be found. Abby Loring says white coronation cord to trim her little boys dresses - Tis ten o clock. I must go to bed, how the wind does blow - you may imagine but I cannot tell you how lonely we feel good nightmy love to your Mother Furber I can hardly feel reconciled to the thought of not seeing her again before she went away also to Mehitable & John tell them they must do a great deal
