User-Contributed Transcription Mother has been writing to Lucy, but on inquiring for her letter to write a few words, it turns out to be only certain homeopathic scraps of paper she has written on.Well, I fear that this part of the World is to suffer great loss. Having been appointed Chief Engineer of the N.H. Central R.R. I may feel myself obliged to tear myself away.We want Samuel & Eliab to discover and let us know whether Alfred Holman is at work in the Steam Mill, what he is doing, and whether he could for any reasonable compensation be procured to come and take care of Joseph or carry on Charles' farm and let him do it.This should be known & decided upon immediately.I trust Lucy that you are already a good deal better than when you were here do be careful of your self - dont let it wear upon you if the girls are trouble some remember they are but children - Lucy, & mind seems all taken up with Mr. Temple - tis natural he has taken great interest to in her Spiritual welfare - he really seems to be a very Spiritual minded devoted Man he feels a great anxiety for John Furber it behooves you & Samuel to talk with him - find out his state of Mind encourage him and lead him on there were 10 person Stopt at the enquiry meeting last Sabbath Now as Isaac is going away we will be more anxious than ever that you come home and stay awhile say when raspberries are ripe - how lonesome and sad one shall be without Isaac- C. & A. have pretty concluded they shall not go to B to Bangor this summer before haying.
