User-Contributed Transcription I have left of studying Algebra as I found I could not get along with it fervently. I find that the others have got the start of me somewhat since the 26th of July last. Some of them studied some during the vacation I guess. We shall commence the Greek Reader tomorrow. Mine has not yet arrived but I guess borrow one from somebody. I do not study History as yet but think I shall when the class gets to English History, as I feel a great lacking in that reflect.I guess that the Scientific class Book that they have here is not the one Amos is acquainted with, this is an advanced work, goes entirely further than Cornstocks, it takes Natural Philosophy in it widest sense - Mon 16th I found at the steamboat office this morn a bundle for me, containing two school books for me, a signing sentences for Ann, and 3 letters, 2 of them from Mr. Bush. I will send Josephs and Mothers' as soon as I can with this etc. The freight was $5,25. The book are just the thing, I wanted. I want to know what Ann gave for them. The other scholars have to give $1,12half for the reader here! I expect we shall have to fly round to keep along when we study in the Reader too. They say it is awful hard.5'O'clock Coming home from school tonight, I perceived Mr. Ellis, wandering about in search of the habitation of me F. Addams. 1 Kenneth place and directed him to it, and I meant to get him carry up my bundle of letters etc.I am losing my required flesh and strength fast already line unclear because of creaseI certainly can't enjoy myself as well as at work. I shall study till next spring if health permits and then you see. You must all write. Ann must write to me, and all of you. I feel almost like an exile!! Don't think I am discouraged on however or dissatisfied with my situation for it is not so intolerant - butBangor IsaacSept. 15 '39
