User-Contributed Transcription Anna wants you Should write to her as soon as convenient and direct to Elyria Ohio where she will probably be by the time a letter would reach there from you after you receive this. Lucy Sam'l & the fat baby have been up to see us came up last Monday returned Thursday. Almeda & Lissie came down here to see them Lucy is quite fleshy and seems to be well - only she has a constant headache. Neuralgia perhaps very severe at times mostly more side of her head Eliab has been sick with disentairy but is better now He has not been here at Milo since you were last summer. It seems that he & Maria are as happy as happy as happy can be but I tell 'em it is not good to carry on so much joking with one another as they do. However they are very sensible folks- but she "is too little" She is as much smaller than Antoinette as she is smaller than some great women. I have been told that the best goods are wrapped up in the smallest parcels. I have been not very well this 2 or 3 weeks past bad cold at first - have not been sick only lazy and useless Aug 1st Tomorrow Anna & I expect to go to Bangor. My home can hardly be call'd home I am gone from it so much three fourths of the time I guess these 2 years past. This is a secluded lovely & pleasant place in the Summer - in the winter it is rather dreary - and the society & religious privileges what are they. I think it probable that Mr. Billington who has return'd onto his farm with plenty of money and wants good house to live in- would like to buy this
