User-Contributed Transcription Farm. He told Charles the other day (only in joke perhaps) that he would give him 1200 for it and pay him the money that day. C think he would given 1500, as if he live or his he would build a house next spring which would cost him 1000 or more i.e. to build as good or better a house. What do you think how Charles better try any to trade I like this place and hate to have him sell it. But C would be a very different and a better man in some other place & society. We have had a very dry season. Hay not so good as was expected corn & other grain pretty good C has got most done haying will finish this week has been offered 125, for Netty thinks not best to sell her till fall strawberries, raspberries & blueberries are very plenty. Anna often speaks of the good time she & Nettie had last summer. Our baby tho' she has been terribly cross is very forward and smart has crept a good while climbs up by things & make by chairs will run along I guess before she is nine months old which will be the 20th of this month. I suppose you feel quite interested about all the babies now that you have one of your own. O how I wish you could all be here a month or 2 nowMay God protect & guide & keep you from all harmYour affectionate Mother A.M.M.
