User-Contributed Transcription Elyria, OhioMonday, December 15, 1856My very dear Albina:Long ago did intend to write to you, but many things have conspired to deter me. I really cannot tell when I did write you, or whether I have written since you wrote to me. We have been quite busy of late as you may suppose. We moved into our new house the 26 November. All our furniture has arrived at last and we begin to feel quite at home and as happy as we could expect to be. Long, dark shadows have fallen across our way, and life can never seem to us as once it did. A sense of our loss comes over us sometimes, [written up the left side of the page]from us both. Do write soon and tell me every thing you can possibly think of. While Isaac is away I shall need letters you know more than ever. Lovingly -Sister Nettie
