What rainy weather you have, and here is has not rained enough to lay the dust since I came, three weeks ago this day. The birds are singing delightfully this morning. There is a warm wind and the air so sultry that one feels languished. May & I have had a ride, and she is gone now with her uncle. She enjoys the riding exceedingly. I know it is quite an undertaking to leave the children - the older ones especially. I had thought that Wilder perhaps would be permitted to stay with Charles, and Charlie, if he was faithful about the chores, could stay with Percie some of the time. Perhaps Percie might spend the nights with Charlie at our house, and Charlie go to Drs' with him for the day. But you can plan better than I. I could
