Yesterday we put the cradle away in Gertrude's bedroom & then showed baby that it was gone - all gone, and she must sleep with mother in the bed. It took me a long time to get her to sleep & she cried a good deal in the night, but I got through with it - hope she may do better to night - I have written this with baby in my arms as you may imagine - but cousin Mary has her now - I went to Anna's with her a little while All are well there -.Mr Jenkins address isCapt L.
