User-Contributed Transcription I wish James would write to me I would write to him but my time is very much taken up there is enough for me to do to get ready every dayJames has written some very good letters to Lissie I hope they'll do her good they surely ought to -- She is a little carried away with false notions her perhaps & is to much of a magpie does not realize but what all the world is made for her -- She just needs that true Humility which divine grade bestows She seems not quite so pleasant & lovely in her disposition as when she was here before -- But it is a critical time of life with her a year or 2 will probably make a great change in her & doubtless for the better -- I think she is improving now there has been some perceptible change for the better since I came -- I think Caddies influence not the best tell James to write to her often
