I went down to Mr. Wood's and got "Nelson on Infidelity" - & "Dew Drops" (45 & 10 cents) shall send them to Mr. Paddocks(Worked on Ottoman) Took me a half hour to pick cockles out of my shawl & dress - Muddy enough coming home wrote long letter to Mrs. Paddock in eve. Saturday - Miss Reynolds & I went to walk - began to thaw in good earnest before we reached home - mailed a letter and books to Mr. Paddock - received letter from home & from Augusta. One from Anne yesterday - package of Temps tracts came - Mother Jenny & Father all wrote in the letter this time. Mother's poor tired eyes write most of all - she is good - good
