User-Contributed Transcription Mother Bangor Sept 27, 1854Oct 7Sept 27 1854 BangorMy Dear boy, We have just received letters from you both Dated Sept 17th O how glad I am & how I thank you for writing so often - Albina sent me her letter too from Charles of Sept. 10th I think Charles must have been puzzled & tried about coming home Lucy & I were very sorry we wrote so much about his coming home Should n't of if it had not been for Albina (she is not a suitable person to leave) it seems as if she has been comfortably situated except 2 or 3 weeks last month if it were not for this one idea (that seem'd to possess her mind entirely) "Charles must come home" Walter has talked & I suspect pretended some about staying but inside I think he has wanted to stay all the while will perhaps ask more than C will be willing to give, he & George do have a very easy timeYou speak about our going to Dunbarton how I wish we could I should really like to but it is not at all likely that Percie will be well enough before the weather will be to cold
