How exceedingly Shock'd and distress'd you must have been & my Dear Son what a Solemn warning to you - "Be ye also ready,, I want to hear more particularly from you both I fear that I shall hear that you are Sick after so much excitement & fatigue. It does seem as if it must speak very plain to you "prepare to meet thy God,, Indeed we have all, at time reason enough, occation enough if we would heed it to feel there is but a step between us and death, & if we are indeed united to Christ by a living faith tis of little
