User-Contributed Transcription Milo Nov. 17th 1849My Dear Son I m going to trouble you with this letter by way of Complaining of you for not writing. I've had only one letter from you since you went away and it seems an age. Why have you not written. I was sadly disappointed the two last Mails that we did not have a letter from you I've had two letters from Isaac since you went away what a good boy he is about writing I wrote a letter to him just after you went away & the next mail had one from him and another from him this week & he had not got mine Do you think he will come home some time and bring you along with him Do write and tell me all about yourself anything ever so triffling that concerns yourself will be interesting to me do write very particularly What good warm weather we have had for some time past Mr. Gilman has had a fine time to work without a fire. He has got the room ready to plaster the Second time - a good Closet by the fire place 2 little drawers under the Glass & a Cunning little Bookcase made in the wall in the bedroom.
