User-Contributed Transcription my mind with tender care & love was taken too this morning about 7 oclock It had been failing about a week with the Bowel Complaint did not seem to suffer very much except the last two days. O how lonely the house does seem I hardly know what to do with myself I shall think of, & miss Dear Lucy much more now. But O how my heart bleeds for you so much of hope & promise so suddenly remov'd. But this is not our home let us garner our hopes & treasures there where sorrow & sickness never come where so many Dear Ones are already gather'd about the throne singing redeeming love. I do pray for you & I beg you to pray for me that I may mind my pace and not grow dull and faint by the way Much love to you all from your Mother
