User-Contributed Transcription what you are doing how you like your work & how you like the country how Sam's like & what he is doing - I am a little afraid you don't like as well as you expected tell me about it & whether Sam'l is disappointed. I want to know all about how you feel-what you think & whether you are glad you went there. Eliab did not feel willing I should come up in the stage thought I could come more comfortably with him but it cost him some for he broke his sleigh thills which with his house hire would be six or seven dollars I suppose - Mr R R Harkin, is almost gone in consumption is not expected to live many days I fear that they are going to be rather hard with Eliab he thinks they ought to give him more because he has had all the work to do as Mr H has been so sick all the time. They don't seem inclind to but perhaps they'll do what is right - bye and bye. He has met with quite a loss again on the Brig Susan Duncan. Percie has had another attack of the croup not so bad as before the little fellow has been wrong'd by being kept in a warm room so continually - has never been suffer'd to snuff the out door air half as much as he ought
