User-Contributed Transcription a great many people have call'd to pay their compliments to Nettie & the twins - It is very pleasant place here - much more so than I expected I should think it must be delightful in the summer These lines are Xd out:]My Delaine dresses are both so worn already that I fear I shall need another for an after noon before I get to Elyria or have to put on my AlopineThe people about here as far as I can judge are rich live in great houses dress well &c but are probably like other farming places very industrious & economicalThey have a prayer meeting every tuesday afternoon in the vestry a few steps from here - also one in the Pastors study the same evening prayers for their families & the church "family prayer meeting" a few good people have kept it up constantly for 30 years tho' sometimes no more than 2 or 3 attend Do write often - I have not written to Milo please send this if you are writing them
