User-Contributed Transcription I suppose Walter could not earn near so much on his farm besides paying his board as he will expect of Charles. I should think he would prefer to stay. I hope Charles will be home soon but I have all along thought that he would stay till they get done there which Isaac says will be in December he hopes by the first of the month.I hope Walker has used the steers some & got them handy - Why did not they keep the oxen longer. Did they not want them to plow & get wood. Please write soon & say whether you get our letters.I am staying with Eliabs wife while her sister is gone & Eliab is going to Boston tomorrow. The baby grows nicely - Percie is growing strong and fat he walks all about the house.Your affectionateMother
