User-Contributed Transcription (in which were 30 or 40 little children) besides hundreds of grown peoplestranded off this morning and had to come back again Engines sent on from here to pull em back out of the snow - Several car loads out all night Jan 12th Elyria well here we are safe & sound in Anns really comfortable convenient & elegant house we started from Buffalo yesterday morning 7 oclock & arriv'd here at night having been there from Tuesday night till Friday morning Anna & her family are all well except little Libbys eyes - I feel some fatigue & headache but on the whole pretty comfortable & very much at home considering. Little Libby wants to be kissing me ever so much - Miss Woodbury is still here has been quite a help & comfort to Anna - has now begun a school and boards hereThis letter is so mixt up I dont know as you can find out what it all means - But one thing you cannot fail to know i e how much cause we have for gratitude I am sure I never an hundredth part to thankful for sleep or quiet next and for my unrest on monday night - If I had slept on if I had not happen'd my dear Isaac would in all probability have been a dead corpse in the morning - It almost makes me shudder when I think of that night
