User-Contributed Transcription one chances almost every where to buy good farms every now and then if a body has money enough I have no doubt that the Dr. could & would buy or hire a good farm for you that would be advantageous & profitable if you want one & he could know just what you want or you could come here or about here somewhere & do it yourself. But the thing is you dont know that you want to & probably will not know till the time is past for doing it if you should want to you are hard on upon 50 you know - Besure it does seem that you have somehow mistaken your position that you naturally belong to a different grade from Mr. D. Mr L. & many of the folks about you - that you ought to have been somewhat different from what you are in mind & manners &c & the more I see of society the more I am convinced of it - But it is late in the day now & if you can be content to live along in the same way and if your children will be content to do the same it is all well - Provided that you can render up your account at last with joy & not with greif But the higher our aims are the greater our efforts to be good and do good the greater chance for happiness here & hereafterMuch love to the children and all of you from your Mother
