User-Contributed Transcription asking questions about his little cousins out west wished me to ask if they hung their stockings Christmas, and what they found in them. It took more wisdom than I possess to ans. a great many of his questions. I would send you Susie's photograph if we had it, but we could not succeed in getting a good one, she was so feeble. We have a pretty good ambrotype, & are going to have some photographs from it, and will send you one, and if I can ever get a respectable one of myself I will send it. I've tried four times. I would like yours if agreeable to you. I have a nice album, and a nice place in it for yours and all your family. Father & Mother send much love, & thanks for your kind letter. Brother Merrick is very unwell, sometimes we think will never be any better. He coughs badly. Cousin Joshua has bought his milk route in Providence; Sam Griggs
