User-Contributed Transcription he could arrange with George to supply for him next Sabbath & he go to Clinton to preach for a destitute people. The proposition was made by two of the elders of the church. I suppose Mr. Wilbur will go to Clinton, & G. preach here. When he returned from Mr Brooks yesterday just after dinner, he was caught in a drenching shower and wet to the skin. Put on some stockings of yours, your old pants, &c and it took the P.M. to get his own dried. Shoes and stocking soaked, pants could be wrung, collar decidedly limber, hat dripping with water, no harm done. It is really cold for the season. We have fire in the furnace about every morning. Wilder continues better but needs close watching & care about exercise & diet.Good night. Hope you are well & His love and blessings & guidance be with you who will care for us all while we are apart. Lovingly your Nettie
