User-Contributed Transcription here she goes to sleep and when she wakes again is astonished to find it morning. She eats exceedingly. I am almost ashamed sometimes. I think H.C.S. must be Horace Starr - or rather I can think of no one, unless it be he.Friday morning I had a long walk and after supper we had a long ride I cut & made a white cape for May that day- I have bought a new hat for May, too. She soiled hers on the journey, and I found it. Looked rather behind other girls here, and quite dark in color for summer. I paid $4.66. Father has been unwell for several days with diarrhea but is better again. Saturday May and I had a ride in the morning and after supper again. May enjoyed the riding very much. Rev & Mrs Abbott of the other church called Saturdayvery pleasant people. May has gone riding with George now. Fanny is at work in her garden a little taking up tulip bulbs. I have written to Jenny this morning - got up at five- Letter from cousin Franc Saturday The vacation begins the 16 of July or about then. and George thinks to spend the 22nd in Dunbarton if nothing happens- and the Monday after to go to Pembroke for a day or two Loving Nettie
