User-Contributed Transcription not hurt her - but supposing it should - suppose it carry her before the reach of help - Is it not risking to much.I want you or Eliab should furnish me with some suitable cloth for Isaacsome shirts so that can make them soon. Charge it to me and I will pay youwhen I can Lucy ought to have sent his shirts that she is making up to methe poor fellow went away almost without - I tried hard to get some cloth2 months ago but "Bunker" had it not & you didn't any of you send it.Wouldn't it be the best thing that Isaac can do to come right to Bangorand study Theology - what else can he do that would be better - he says that hecould pursue his studies there three years and support himself and save a hundred dollars in the mean time - probably he never would be rich andgrand in that way - supposing it to be very sensible - is it very certain thathe would be in any other - Could he not be devoted to the cause of Christ andbe useful and is not that enough - Ministers are needed surely and there aremany who are doing good that are no way superior to what he may be - youwill say tis a self denying hard life so it is, but that doesn't scare me - if heis a faithful servant his reward will be equal to his work - he talks aboutbeing a Doctor - But it seems plain to me that he is not fit for that.I wish you and Eliab would consider his case and advise him, he wants toand ought to make up his mind soon very soon - I wish you would bothwrite to him on the subject.Eliab I say to you take care of your health I am afraid you work to hardI won't dispute but what you are naturally lazy enough - but you are easilyexcited and an emergency (which frequently happens I suppose with you)You are in danger of exposing yourself exerting yourself to much or taking your reach invaluably if you are not careful, when the heat of summercomes on you will be sick again - tis better to come home and invigorate yourself a week than be oblig'd to have your business 4 or 5 weeks.
