User-Contributed Transcription her till I suppose she had knocked several times. Finally she raised her voice quite high and, knocking again, said "Knock and it shall be opened unto you, and here I stand knocking" - Dr was up to day & I told him of it and he laughed heartily. He came up to find the top to his umbrella that Libbie lost off going home from school. She stopped here on the way home. I showed him your new book on gardening, in which he was interested. Anna was up yesterday she is very busy getting Hattie ready to go to Ills. She is going to Cleveland next week stops there a day or two. Sarah Converse goes to Cleveland tomorrow morning not to return here. Mother has got almost a new jacket made for Charlie Rich & it looks nicely. I went into school yesterday A.M. and heard Weldins class in geog. and the B. class in Arithmetic of Mrs. Parker's, and a class in spelling of Miss Smiths - all did well - I like Mrs Parker. She seems to understand character pretty well. Good night - Your Nettie
