User-Contributed Transcription My very dear Isaac & Nettie Bangor Nov. 10 /56I intended to write to you before I left Milo but delays and neglects are not very uncommon things with me. I had a fine visit there grew well & strong on Albina's pumpkin bread it is I really believe very healthy. I never before saw a child grow smart and fleshy as Percie did while he was there in my life you know how weak his bowels have always been and ever since he was so sickTill we went to Milo and for some days after we could never allow him to eat much else but bread - Albina had a fine parcel of dried Raspberry leaves and I gave P. P. Tea made of it 2 or 3 weeks constantly I put in 1 or 2 spoon full of it very strong in a cup of milk sweeten'd a little he lov'd it took it with his meal and at other times and soon got so that he could eat anything that any of the children ate but he prefer'd before anything else the Brown Bread made of stew'd Pumpkin and indian meal & he has grown very fat & large & strong.top of page Thanksgiving day Dear Nettie how much we have yet to be thankful for- O if Isaac's life and health is spar'd after what he has done this fall How I want to see the dear little Wilder & O how I want to see you all. I shall ? myself trying to imagine just how you are in your new home I think you will enjoy it - when is Isaac going to Ill. How shall I want to know every particular about your fear you wont have time & strength to tell me all Love to Anna and all her family I wrote to her when I was at Milo and recieved a letter from her hope she & you & she will take much comfort together I think you may benefit her and she you she is too impulsive quick you are more catious & deliberate when she starts on any course you must holden & consider whether it is the right oneI think you & Isaac will take great comfort in the Dr. you will like him better & better the more you get acquainted please write often to your Mother.
