User-Contributed Transcription I expect Almeda here by stage tomorrow & will lay my letter aside again till after she comes & gets her opinion Please write me immediately on receiving this & inform me when it is probable you shall have to leave home if you obtain the situation you mentioned_ Almeda came last night but I know no more what to say to you only that She is decided in the opinion that I ought not to go away this Spring_ If I could any way possibly think it best to go to Elyria this Spring I could hardly have time now to get ready_ Should want to go to Milo first- & he is going in a fortnight_ has nothing more to do but pack his goods. Albina has a girl engaged for 2 or 3 months_ I feel as if it must be very doubtful if I got to Elyria whether I should ever return especially if C. should ever go west & James should go west & consequently Almeda should go to_ & could I go & not go to Milo & perhaps not see the children & folks perhaps for years if ever_ Please write every thing explain all about every thing _ say if you can that you think it best that I stay till Maj. Furber goes- only I should dread to with him. God bless you all my children I want to be with you- if I could only be in two places at once your Mother
