July 22nd 1866.Dear Aunt Nettie, Your very kind letter was received some time since & I have thought of you often since & have desired to reply but circumstances have not permitted. Your letter came just as I was going home for a short visit, & since my return I have been too weary to write. The weather for the last two weeks has been intensely warm & has been very hard for me to endure. I enjoyed my stay in the country very much although it was short, but the ride there & back tired me very much. The weather now is much cooler & I am enjoying it very much indeed.
