User-Contributed Transcription mother - Milo, Nov. 25. / 52Du Quoin - Dec 25 - 1852 Milo Nov 25th 1852My Dear Children We receiv'd your good letters of Oct 28th in due Season & thank you very much I Suppose you are before now at Du Quoin _____ I can write the word after a fashion, But I am Sure I dont know how to pronounce it do please tell me in your next Tis Thanksgiving Day I've just return'd from meeting been to hear Squeaking Mr. White preach a very good Sermon the only Congregationalist Sermon that I have heard in Milo for a long long time & we have no prospect of any - ever again as I know of The meeting house they Say will be done in about two weeks they think to dedicate it new years. I feel interested in it as I should in any thing regarding the cause of religion _____ But none the more for its being in this town as I know of I hardly know why I feel so indiferant about it. I suspect it is "Cas I'se wicked" Charles has got an "addition" in the shape of a fine fat little daughter weighing 9 lb 6 ounces it was born 2 oclock in the morning Saturday. 20th Monday morning Albina walk'd across her room with it in her arms today she is all about in the kitchen Lucy Searles is here for a visit of a few days they have all been here Since she mov'd away but it Seems a great long way up there they Seem all very comfortable and happy the mail goes not till saturday so I'll put my letter by till tomorrow
