User-Contributed Transcription Monday morning I rode up, with Dea Burnham to Proctor Hammond's and while I called his boy went out to Dea P.'s and got the shawl. Proctor is sick, and looks sad and discouraged - has two very pretty children. I expected to walk back to Capt. W's calling at Mr. Burnham's on the way, but Mrs Hammond insisted on harnessing the horse to take me back and while we stopped at Mr. Burnham's, who should come but Agnes with Mr. French's horse and chaise. She had started to go to Mr. Hammond's for me - said she did'nt know that I ran away with Mr. Burnham, so I rode back with her and called at Mr. Colby's and Rowells, and, after dinner Mrs. Whipple came and carried me to Charles Ryders where I took supper, and called at Harris and then Charles took us back to John Kimball's. Tuesday morning John Kimball took us to Manchester and got us nicely started in the cars. We got on splendidly - nice day and all night - and friends well, and feast of letters when we got - here. Cousin Abby Hutchinson of Westboro' is to spend next Thursday night here, with her husband. They have gone to Montreal & Quebec for a summer trip. I wish I had another picture or two of little John also of little Anna. In fact I wish I had some of the older boys too - I left a picture of John with Aunt & uncle in Pembroke and Proctor Hammond has
