Description Folio 6v-7r. Written in a rounded gothic bookhand, in 25 long lines in brown ink. Alternating red and blue painted initials. Contains the set tariffs and toll charges applicable to all raw material, merchandises, goods, and persons that passed through three toll points in Tarascon and its immediate surroundings, the "Portal de Tarascon" and the suburb of Saint-Gabriel. Text includes the occupations and credentials of commuters and travelers, those of the facing town of Beaucaire, the Spaniards, the English, the Germans, the Lombards, the pilgrims, the indentured Saracen, the minters, etc. Also supplied are the names of the goods they hauled, the goods submitted to toll, and those exempted. Internal references to events, the church of Saint Martha and a king, Louis I or Louis II, suggest a date towards the end of the 14th century.
