1 Item (1 leaf) ; 31 cm.; Indenture, June 29, 1731, between the selectmen of the town of Harwich, Mass., and Eleazer [i.e. Eliezer] and Rebecca Freeman, of Eastham, Mass., binding Rebeckah (also known as Sarah) Chin, a four-year-old Indian daughter of impoverished parents, as an apprentice and servant until her eighteenth birthday. Document is signed and sealed by Pence Snow, Joseph Freeman, and Eliezer Freeman, witnessed by Hannah Snow and Jabez Snow, and approved June 30, 1731, by Joseph Doane and Nathaniell Freeman, Barnstaple County justices of the peace.
