Summary
Translations by Rev. Charles Montgomery Tate, probably from around 1892, of lyrics of three traditional Christian hymns in three Indian languages. One verse and chorus of "Nothing but the blood of Jesus" is given in Chinook; one verse and chorus of "I'm going home to die no more" in Tsimshian; and two verses and chorus of "Sweet by and by" in Salish (Aukamenum), the language of the tribes of the Fraser River, British Columbia.
