Commonly termed Nassowa by the Indians, the plot ran on both sides of a creek and extended twelve miles to the west. It was given "for and in consideration of Love good will and affection which I have and do bear towards my Loving freind Dirck Ten Broeck." Done in Albany, N.Y., the document is signed with the mark of Mamangquat, witnessed by Anthony Van Schayck Jr. and Johannis Ten Broeck, and confirmed by Robert Livingston Jr., a justice of the city and county of Albany.
