Dear Sir,

I received your cheque quite safely and how can I begin to thank you, your unexampled generosity to me
The happiness you have brought to my family I shall be forever in your debt even in this capacity. I feel so proud I know England has no pleasant memories for you but if it is any consolation from such a humble person as myself, but as an Englishman I am honoured to have served such a wonderful family.

Your kind are very few in this world I would like to say generosity does not get you loyalty or friends some maybe but not 9. The manner in which you address people big or small so kind so friendly and so humble that is your cheque book.
