Description Tableau 1 in atlas: Illustrations to Maximilian, Prince of Wied's Travels in the interior of North America.  Landscape of the Lehigh River in Pennsylvania.  The scene depicts regional wildlife and trees along the Lehigh River. In 1836 Maximilian commissioned Bodmer to create illustrations to accompany the text of his atlas documenting their travels.  These illustrations include 81 plates of aquatints.
