Description Drawing No. 14. Portrait of the head chief of the Sioux tribe in a costume decorated with procupine quill embroidery and fringed with scalp locks.  He is shown seated, smoking a long pipe and a painted buffalo hide on his lap.   His hair is elaborately tied and he wears jewelry.
