Enterprise consists of a single hotel , & one other? building; before it lies the river dened? into a lake, full of weedes and? alligators. The trees along the banks, all covered with masses of long grey Spanish? moss, which produces & curiously weird effect, like that of an "army phantomes vast +\& wan." I found a icious? seat this morning, among roots of a tree, knarled & twisted most elastically; sitting there, close by the [wa[ter?]], listning to the waves as the washed on the sand, with the feather palm waving above, excluding the heat, & making? a delicious coolness, it was indeed like an enchanted forest.
