Mark William Morris, originally from Seattle, Washington, is an dancer, choreographer and director whose work is acclaimed for its craftsmanship, ingenuity, humor, and innovative musical accompaniments. Morris opened the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 2001 to provide a home for his company, the Mark Morris Dance Group. (2024)
