Summary
Two engravings on one sheet (single plate mark). The top image depicts men in rowboats harpoon spouting whales while men in the foreground kill bears with muskets, spears, or clubs on ice-covered land. On the water are six three-masted ships, one flying the British flag, sailing amongst icebergs. The bottom portion has images of "The whale from which the bone is taken," "The whale louse," "The fin fish," "The sea unicorn [narwhal]," "The morse [walrus]," "A Harpoon," and "A spear".
