Summary many earlier maps and information compiled by Jesuit missionaries in Paraguay.  In a second letter and addendum, addressed to M. de la Roque and dated March 21, 1734, Anville states that he would like to advise the public of some changes in his analysis of the map of Paraguay which he prepared for Du Halde's recently-published book.  He explains the reasons for the changes, and asks de la Roque to include the corrections in his book.
