Biographical/Historical Note Joshua Weckesser is a lighting designer, production manager, and technical consultant for various theatre and dance companies. He has worked closely with Molly Shanahan/Mad Shak, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, and Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble. His work extends outside the city as well, working with Ballet Hispánico in New York City, Karole Armitage in the Netherlands, and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Weckesser founded Bread & Roses Productions in 2010, while still managing stage production at River North Dance Chicago, a p osition he held from 2009-2014. He has also served as the Co-Artistic Director of LEVELdance, since 2013. (2024)
