Henry C Anthony, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, for cause of claim against JB Johnson, assignee, of DesMoines, Iowa, states:
That on the 11th day of August 1885 CW Dorr & Co, Seedsmen, doing business in DesMoines, Iowa, made to him for a valuable consider-ation their three certain prom-issory notes as follows, amounting in the aggregate to $3011.75 (Three thousand and eleven and 75/100 dollars) with four percent interest per annum from August 11th 1885: to wit:
$1000.00.   August 11th 1885.
May fourteenth 1886 after date we promise to pay to the order of Henry C Anthony, at our office in DesMoines Iowa, One thousand dollars with interest at four percent per annum from date. Value Received.
