Description Spine title: Gramatica othomi.
Half-leather binding, gold-stamped.
Label affixed to spine bears catalogue number "1581," possibly from catalogue of Mexico City bookseller Wilson Wilberforce Blake, from whom Edward Ayer acquired the ms. in 1899. 
Summary Otomi grammar and vocabulary lists compiled by Father Juan de la Baquera in 1747. The first 58 pages contain grammar notes in Spanish arranged in numbered paragraphs, and sample conjugations of the verb tenses in Otomi.  Pages 59-108 contain three Spanish-Otomi vocabulary lists for adverbs, verbs, and nouns.  The confession mentioned in the title, and on p. 108 is not included in the ms.
