Collation: Parchment, volume 1: fol. i + 132 (foliated I-CXXXII) + i; 1-4⁸ 5⁶ 6-16⁸ 17⁶ ; volume 2: fol. i + 140 (foliated I-CI with 39 unfoliated leaves at end last two leaves ruled but blank) + i; 1-12⁸ 13⁶ 14-17⁸ 18⁶.
Layout: Eight staves of 4 lines; ruled in lead; pricking on outer margins.
Script: Written in southern textura rotunda.
Decoration: v. 1: fol. 1r: Annunciation in initial "A"; fol. 22r: Nativity in initials "P"; fol. 26r: Adoration of the Magi in initial "E"; v. 2: fol. 1v: Resurrection in initial "R"; fol. 23v: Ascension in initial "V"; fol. 30v: Pentecost in initials "S"; fol. 96r: Holy trinity above with saint below in initial "B". Volume 1 with 58 foliate initials and v. 2 with 46 foliate initials in orange, yellow, blue, green, pink, gold, and magenta with gold leaf on a black background. Pen flourished initials in alternating blue and red throughout.
Origin: Written in Florence at the Camaldolese convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli between 1390 and 1395 and illuminated by Don Simone Camaldolese. Consult Painting and illumination in early Renaissance Florence, 1300-1450. 
Summary Two volumes of a temporal Gradual; volume 1 containing Advent through Lent, volume 2 containing Easter through the 24th Sunday after Pentecost.
