Summary Map of Ouidah (previously Iuda, Juda, or Whydah) in Benin (previously Dahomey), part of the native kingdom of Ardrah, a region important in the slave trade. Combines fortification plans of Fort Saint Louis (French) and Fort William (English) with pictorial drawings of three adjacent native villages, a military chieftain with two attendants, and a wooded site identified as "Bois ou les Negres font leurs fetiches." Includes notes B-H detailing current and proposed fortification at Fort Saint Louis.
