User-Contributed Transcription Warwick Feb 28th 1858My dear Sister AbbyI have not forgotten your claim toan ans. to your last letter but you was so wicked toneglect writing so long to your Sister Emily she had almosta mind to make you wait & wonder "why she don't write" aslong as I did - & now you see I am returning good for evilyou know Abby full well how few spare moments aremine v. how little leisure time I can call my own todevote to reading or writing & so have not written as muchas usual of late, but you cannot have any good reasonfor neglecting to write me 6 or 7 months, & I am sure I couldnot understand the long delay & now surely for the future Ishall take as much time to ans. your letters as you take towrite them - Danford is writing this evening & my desire tokeep him company prompted me to thus easly ans. your last.We have been to meeting to day as usual & heard theRev. Mr. Tenny discourse - & all readily admitted his twosermons today were the best & ablest he ever delivered in ourchurch - & they were not of the common place I assure youWe are not to have a minister for a few Sabbathsas the money subscribed has been used up & Mr Goldsburgwishes to make his annual visit to his children & willstart for Boston this week - but it is proposed to have thehouse kept open & it seems to be the mind of all that itwill be better to have "Deacon-meetings" than go to the altersThere has been quite a revival among the orthodoxthis winter & many "entertain a hope" the converts aremostly of the young people - by the way I hear the Deacons
