Dear Mr. Hecht:--
Eddie and I want you to know
how much we enjoyed our meeting with
you yesterday. It was really wonderful
to finally see face-to-face, the author
of the many words we've read and found
so stimulating through the years.
It may please you to know
that you, too, were just as we thought
you'd be and that you lived up to--
and exceeded our every expectation.
So many thanks for asking
us to lunch and for being such
good company.
We wish you every success
with "Up, Down & Across," and do hope
we get to meet up with you again,
perhaps in Chicago.
Fondly,
Betty Meyers
