Turner, La Place
Sil[[?]], Mo.
Feb. 14, 1937
My dear Mr Conroy:
Please know that I appreciate your book. I value it even more autographed, what I value most is the human story which comes from its pages.
I shall be sending the amount for the book in a few days. Our pay day has been postponed for a couple of weeks. I appreciate the pennies which you have saved me by mailing it direct. I too have learned the value of pennies.
H.B. Lewis has probably heard from me by this time. I did enjoy his story and poem and I told him about it.
Again, let me say & appreciate the book. I shall certainly do my [[?]] to help it gain the reading public that it deserve.
With best wishes I am
cordially
La Place Turner
