Dear Jack-
I haven't been working
steady at the track and therefore
must ask you to wait a while longer
for that 25 you sent to me. Perhaps
these last days of the meet[?] will be better
for me and if so I'll send you a money
order.
Do I owe anything on
that shocking phone bill? IF I do
let me know so I can repay you.
I remember [?] sending you some money
for phone calls but there is a chance I
overlooked one.
Blake's[?] due to be [?]
soon. When I get his permanent address
I'll send it to you. Would you [?] to
be one of his correspondents. The prison
only allows a few. If I were in jail
I can't think of any one who would be a
better pen pal than yourself.
