MIAMI, FlA.

Dear Jack-
I came down here
on the promise of an early job
at a dog track. The man who
was going to arrange things for
me turned out to be a senile
retired businessman. Perhaps he
could have helped me 20 years ago.
In the meantime
my bankroll has dwindled to
no-where. I'm going to work at the
Post Office tomorrow.
If you can send
me twenty bucks until I get
a check I'd appreciate it.
Probably return
it to you around Xmas time.
Hate to be put
in this position especially since I
know the value of the slow penny
and know no[?]
Best
Bud
